My chat with Kathleen Matthews

April 18, 2010 has offered me a fabulous opportunity to speak with high-profile women about ‘how they get it all done’. My first chat is with Executive Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Marriott International, Kathleen Matthews. She and I talked about the power of slow and how to introduce more mindful unplugged time into our lives. She was a real delight to chat with so please take a few minutes to have a listen. I promise you it will be worth your time!

Wow…I felt as if I were right with you throughout this interview, relishing in knowing the struggles Kathleen has have been my own. Yesterday while touring the beautiful gardens of Mount Sharon overlooking the verdant countryside of Virginia with 10,000 other Garden Week participants, I sat down after catching the eye of a fellow “ma” lover. She was seated in front of a fountain and she said to me, “I think we are having more fun just stopping and listening to the falling water.” It was a Robert Frost moment.

Love that ‘Robert Frost moment’. So poetic, Umbi!
